Ukrainian Member of Parliament Ruslan Horbenko announced on October 14 that a parliamentary resolution seeking the dismissal of Denys Uliutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity, had been registered.
In a video statement, the lawmaker strongly criticized the minister’s handling of social assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs), particularly displaced children and students.
“We have registered a resolution to dismiss Social Policy Minister Uliutin,” Horbenko stated.
According to the MP, the initiative was prompted by concerns over social benefit payments and the government’s failure to provide effective housing assistance to Ukrainians displaced by the war.
Horbenko accused the minister of making decisions that, in his view, had deprived some displaced children and students of essential financial support.
The lawmaker also criticized the implementation of a government program intended to provide houses in rural areas to internally displaced families.
According to Horbenko, the program has failed to deliver the expected results, leaving displaced Ukrainians without the housing assistance they urgently need.
He claimed that the number of homes actually provided through the initiative remains at zero.
Horbenko used particularly strong language in his statement, accusing the minister of having “betrayed our displaced people.”
The MP ended his video address by asking the public to support the initiative.
The reported registration of a parliamentary resolution does not itself mean that the minister has been dismissed. Any decision on dismissal would require the relevant parliamentary procedures.
