Representatives of Ukraine’s Human Rights Ombudsman conducted a monitoring visit to the Ternopil Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC). According to Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, 28 mobilized citizens were present during the inspection, and 17 of them reported possible violations of their rights.
Following the intervention of the Ombudsman’s representatives, five men were released and removed from military registration. Among them were a man with a lifelong disability, two individuals showing signs of mental health disorders, and two citizens who are approaching the age of 60.
Another issue raised during the inspection concerned a staff member responsible for supervision. According to Lubinets, the employee showed signs of alcohol intoxication.
