In Lviv, an angry crowd turned against the TCC and overturned a military vehicle.
The conflict between Lviv residents and the TCC occurred on the evening of July 8 in Sykhiv. According to police and the TCC, during a document check, they stopped a man born in 1996 who had been wanted since June 12, 2026, for violating military registration rules.
Eyewitnesses, however, claim that the man was grabbed on the street, beaten, and forcibly dragged into a minibus. People gathered at the scene. The crowd surrounded the official vehicle, then overturned and severely damaged it.
The TCC demands action against the protesters, while residents demand accountability for the TCC’s unlawful actions. Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, commenting on the conflict, stated that he expects a fair response from law enforcement.
Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi has already held an emergency meeting with law enforcement and stated that all those responsible will be held accountable. The regional TCC has launched an official investigation into the legality of the military personnel’s actions.
