In Kharkiv, a man changed his gender and, through court, secured removal from military registration.
The individual officially changed gender to female and received a new passport. After that, she applied to the Territorial Recruitment Center requesting removal from military records.
The center refused without a medical commission review. However, the court sided with the applicant and ruled the refusal unlawful. The court reminded that in Ukraine women serve in the military on a voluntary basis.
The decision has already entered into legal force.
A story that will certainly spark long discussions — legal, social, and political. Because sometimes court rulings sound louder than any slogans.
