President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte took part in the 8th International Veterans’ Forum “Ukraine. Veterans. Security.”
The President thanked everyone who defended and continues to defend Ukraine and its independence:
“The key to this is security guarantees, which we are now working on together with our partners. I am confident this will happen. And it will be based on our strong army, which means on your experience and combat achievements.”
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized in her speech the development of state services for veterans, particularly the “Veteran Pro” platform in Diia:
“I would like this platform to develop more rapidly so that you can access all the services the state can provide today. Grants for support, ‘eOselya,’ education and retraining, and all other services.”
Serhiy Byzov, Head of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, also spoke at the forum:
“For the first time, a veteran has headed the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine. We are ready to support medical rehabilitation and provide all possible opportunities. And I want to address you, the authorities and the President of Ukraine: know that people stand behind you, those who defended our Motherland with weapons in their hands. This is the sacrifice of our people. Glory to Ukraine!”
