A US blogger has come up with an unusual form of trolling autonomous taxis: he steps onto the street wearing a T-shirt printed with a “STOP” road sign. The vehicles’ computer-vision systems cannot reliably distinguish the shirt from an actual traffic sign, causing the driverless cars to halt.
The video quickly went viral, sparking conversations about the vulnerabilities of autonomous vehicle algorithms and the potential for such exploits.
