The incident occurred near the “Yatran” meat processing plant’s brand store on Velyka Perspektyvna Street. According to dendrologist Yevhen Tkachuk, this is the second case in the past three months when dead trees were “revived” using spray paint.
He noted that from a distance, the thujas look alive, but the paint quickly wears off, revealing that they have long been dead. It is likely that this was an attempt to disguise poor maintenance. Landscaping of the flowerbed, Tkachuk said, was carried out by the company when setting up the retail outlet.
