In Chernivtsi, a unique fragrance is being developed to mark the 150th anniversary of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. Chemistry master’s students and their professor are collaborating to capture the essence of the university in a bottle.
There will be two versions: a masculine scent with notes of greenery, boxwood, and old wood; and a feminine one with sweet caramel and soft pink tones. The formula was inspired by student impressions — the smell of books, freshly cut grass, and the historic walls of the university’s Austro-Hungarian architecture.
The first bottles will be released in September 2025 as an official souvenir of the university. Future public sales are also being considered.
